A model for affordable senior housing
Support Services are woven into the fabric of Buckeye Fields, a new senior housing community proposed by Buckeye Hills Support Services in southeast Ohio.
This project is a model for affordable senior housing development incorporating social drivers of health. This model can be replicated to positively impact residents of economically distressed areas of southeast Ohio and throughout the state.
Buckeye Fields
Ranch-style apartments optimized for senior living. Supportive services including benefits counseling, Medicare Part D enrollment assistance, primary health promotion, nutrition and wellness, coordination of in-home nurse and physical therapist visits, and general information and referrals.
A Public & Private Sector Collaboration
By modeling collaboration between the public and private sectors and through incorporating social drivers of health, Buckeye Fields is a showcase for affordable housing development in economically distressed areas around and beyond Ohio.
